Grey Squirrel (Sciurus Carolinensis)
The grey squirrel can be a real pest when living in your home due to their tendency to gnaw.
The squirrel will enter buildings, often a quiet area like the loft and set about making themselves a nest (Dray) site,
this can be from insulation material, personal belonging’s left in the loft, or material brought in from your garden
or surrounding grounds. They are territorial and will mark their nest site to inform other squirrels in the area of
their presence.
The damage caused by the squirrel is evident. They will collect and remove belongings, soil (fecal / urine) area’s, gnawing marks (Electrical cables), and cause noise disturbance as they are more active at first and last light of the
day.
